To ship your possessions to East Malaysia, there are a few things to bear in mind.

Please be aware that you may need to give a shipping address to an agent - PLEASE make sure that the shipment DOES NOT actual go there! The British Council offices in Kota Kinabalu and Kuching are quite small and up a few flights of stairs! The office addresses are below.
 
It is likely that you will not be based in Kota Kinabalu or Kuching. Therefore please bear in mind that there may be some in-country shipping charges to pay to get your things from the nearest port of entry to your destination. We will try to let you know the location of your schools as soon as possible - this may be subject to change due to Ministry of Education requirements.

Inclusion on this list does not constitute British Council 'approval' and there may be better companies to be found locally. We do not make any guarantee as to the quality of services or the competitiveness of prices.

Please note that from experience, shipping is significantly more expensive from East Malaysia at the end of your contract than to East Malaysia at the start. You may want to consider these costs before you send things. We suggest that you ask for a quote from one of the agents below from your placement to your home country as an estimate of how much it may cost for return shipping.
