Role overview

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

The successful candidate will work closely with the Penang Director to explore and spearhead business opportunities in the Northern Region of Malaysia. This would include collaboration with institutions in both the public and private sector. Branding work is also a key function for the role and the post holder must be able to recommend appropriate activities that reflect our brand value while complying with British Council policies. The person will also work closely with the marketing team in KL on all digital content for Penang while managing on the ground marketing for Penang.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Knowledge of marketing principles – product/services, advertising &promotion, price, place. Understanding of market segmentation and positioning is essential for this role. Basic online/offline marketing skills (Facebook, Google) needed.
